Resources

LECTURERS/RESOURCE PERSONS

Lecturers are from all over the world particularly from The University of Pretoria in South Africa, VU University in the Netherlands, The University of Bulgaria and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana among others. They come for a two-week stay during which they give a two-week intensive lecture to our students. As and when necessary, and when available, resource persons are also called in to give short lectures to students on the particular subject under discussion.

BOOKS AND LECTURE NOTES

Most lecturers will give a list of books and supplementary readings; this information is also posted on the notice board. Almost all textbooks are available in The Institute’s library. The Institute library also holds copies of most of the commonly used textbooks.

ICT FACILITIES

Our ICT facilities are state-of-the-art.

Students are given internet access to enhance research and general internet uses for academic purposes. All new students are automatically registered to use the Institute’s computing facilities. The Institute provides each student with an e-mail account. Students will receive further information on these issues on arrival. The Technology department is there to assist students with information on any computer and/or software queries. Students can use the workstations and printers in the library and research room.

Teleconferencing facilities are provided when necessary in order for students to interact with lecturers about the content of mudules and assignments, which are part of the education programme.

LIBRARY

The Institute Library is open from 8.00 am to 5.00pm daily (Monday-Friday) except on public holidays. The library is stocked with the most current books in the field of ICT and regularly updated to reflect the needs of our students.
